Explosions In The Sky reveal release date(s) for new album

The Texan post-rock outfit Explosions In The Sky have just released a slew of information about their long awaited sixth studio album, including the release date, track list, and album title.

Eitspic

The album's called Take Care, Take Care, Take Care, and has a track list of six songs:

1. Last Known Surroundings

2. Human Qualities

3. Trembling Hands

4. Be Comfortable, Creature

5. Postcard from 1952

6. Let Me Back In

Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is set for release on April 18th in the UK, April 25th in Europe and April 26th in US and Canada.

Recording took place on a pecan ranch in West Texas and was lead by frequent collaborator John Congleton. ETIS state: "The music on it feels different than anything else we've done before and we're very excited for you to hear it." So don't expect the music to be as repetitive as the title.

While no artwork has been released for Take Care, Take Care, Take Care, Esteban Rey will once again offer his skills in the art department.

The band have released this short video that showcases the information above, but makes point to say 'new sounds by... Explosions In The Sky', accompanying the video is a strange, ambient sound which could easily be an excerpt from one of the new tracks. If so, ETIS definetly have made something much different to anything else they've done before.
